H2O and NO: Hydrate Your Way to increase nitric oxide levels and have good health

*Water is one of those exceptional free resources that have a lot of health benefits. Unless you are living in a desert, there isn’t any rationale why you should let yourself dehydrated, when a glass of water every now and then can prevent that from happening. There are numerous great things about drinking water, from weight loss to proper kidney performance, water plays a big part in our life. About 70% of our body is made up of water and from this we can appreciate how much important water is for us.

• Women who drank five or more glasses of water a day had a 59 percent lower risk of dying from heart disease, compared to women who drank two or fewer glasses. Fit Men who drink five or more glasses of water a day had a 46 percent lower risk of dying from heart disease, compared to men who drank two or fewer glasses. That’s the same level of protection provided by exercising regularly, lowering cholesterol, or quitting smoking! The lead researcher of the study, Jacqueline Chan, PhD, an assistant professor of public health at Lama Linda University, told us that other research shows drinking plenty of water every day can:

• prevent colon cancer, the #2 cancer in America.

• satisfy appetite during dieting, so you shed more pounds.

• soothe the aching joints of arthritis.

• stop a recurrence of kidney stones.

• reduce the incidence of bladder infections, a chronic problem for millions of American women.

• cut the number and severity of asthma attacks.

• help prevent complications from diabetes.

• boost the immune system, thereby providing extra protection against a wide range of serious and everyday conditions.

• rev up your physical and mental performance, for more energy, a better memory, and improved concentration.

Why water works

Water does more than deliver extra NO to your cells, of course.

• generates electrical and magnetic energy in every cell.

• provides the “bonding adhesive” in cellular architecture.

• prevents DNA damage and helps repair DNA.

Defeating dehydration Are you dehydrated?

Thirst is the most obvious sign, of course-although by the time you’re. really thirsty, your body is parched!

Natural minded doctor Jacob Teitelbaum, MO, author of From Fatigued to Fantastic, told us there’s a quite simple method to tell: if your lips are dry, you’re dry inside, too!

Other indications of mild dehydration include chronic pain in joints and muscles, low back pain, headaches, and constipation. Furthermore, your urine might have a strong odor, with a yellow or amber (rather than clear) color.

To be sure you have all the water you need; keep a bottle of water handy whenever you’re working, traveling, or exercising. If you become bored with plain water, add a bit of lemon or lime.

• Sports drinks with electrolytes are often good fluid replacements— -but they also corirairi a lot of sugar and calories that you don’t need, and studies show they’re also rough on your teeth, stripping enamel.

But this doesn’t work with other liquid.

Metabolism – Water enhances your metabolism which is one more reason why it helps you with weight loss. There are many foods that helps boost your metabolism like probiotics for instance, but water is definitely available and costs nothing.

Kidney health – Kidney requires sufficient water to keep filtering the liquid waste from our body, lack of water can lead to a lot of problems as the liquid in the kidney must be diluted before removing.

Nutrient transport – Water works well for sending the nutrients from one place of our body to another, thus building a constant flow which helps our body to work properly.
